The opening song in "New World Waking" is "Gabi's Song (Will It Always Be Like This?")
based on the true story of Gabi Clayton, whose son, Bill, committed suicide after a gaybashing.
Kenny Goss and George Michael brought John Lennon's IMAGINE piano to their home
in Olympia, Washington, as part of an art project about violence. Composer/lyricist
Steve Schalchlin, was the featured performer. It was here that he conceived New World Waking!
